deployment of nuclear missiles to sites in the rural United States
this past week, residents in some of these communities are still

chemicals used to clean and maintain the weapons.

Earthjustice Joins Challenge to Industry’s Attack on Air Pollution Rules
Decades-old rules have protected public from significant air
pollutants Yesterday evening public interest law firm Earthjustice
joined several environmental organizations in opposing industry
lawsuits that seek to undermine crucial air pollution rules.
Earthjustice is representing the Environmental Defense Fund in this
intervention in the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C.

EPA Reports Decrease in Toxic Chemical Pollution
When it comes to pollution, the economic downturn could have an
upside. The Environmental Protection Agency on Tuesday reported
that toxic chemical pollution from the nation's industrial plants,
mines and factories declined by 6 percent in 2008, the second year
in a row that companies have reported releasing less pollution.
